REgeneration is the true topic we should focus on. Too much has been distroyed in attempting to control the means of production, it is time for a perception change: what would happen if we cooperated with natures cycles?
‘Turn our enemies into our friends.’
There is a strong case for a solution in central Brazil. The documentary “life in syntropy” bellow explains well the method applied by Erst for over 40 years, already studdied and acknowedged worldwide . This alterative system, localy known as “agrofloresta”, uses no pesticided or external supply, saves water and grows healthy crops from fase 1 on wards. It also enrichs the soil and used no irrigation. Sounds like magic? Yes! That simple, but not necessarly easy:
There is no quick answer. We have to be honest and immediately warn that you won’t find a recipe ready to copy and paste here. Syntropic Agriculture (also described as successional agroforestry) is not a technology package that can be purchased, nor a definitive design plan that fits all tastes. It is first and foremost a change in perspective. It’s a new proposal for reading the ecosystem which enables the farmer to seek his/her answers using another reasoning, quite different from what we’re used to.ernst
“WE ALREADY HAVE A PRODUCTIVE SYSTEM THAT KIDNAPS CARBON”
— pedro paulo diniz, fazenda a toca. trial os ernst system in large scale
This is big! This is brazilian! This is humans working in cooperation with nature. The syntropic system created by Ernst, a swiss farmer and researcher, brazilian resident since the 80s. Influenced by studies of natural sucession theories and ingidinous tribe knowledge, he started practice on degrated land in the 80ts and found in thining and pruning the fuel to transformation. The key to abundance is that land feeds itself! #tropicaldreams
